I'm going to Bookstop tomorrow. I plan on picking up many happy books. Vote on what I should choose. Here are my reasons for purchasing the jolly books of happiness. I'm counting on you to narrow it down for me so that I don't get in trouble with my parents.
Eric (Discworld) - a parody of Faust. Involving Rincewind, the most hilariously amusing character in the history of Fiction. And the Luggage, which is always a plus.
Reaper Man (Discworld) - This comes highly reccomended from some folks on HP4GU. A semi-sequel of sorts to "Mort", which I adored.
Jingo (Discworld) - starring the City Watch, whose individual members might not be as groovy as Rincewind (in my opinion. Please don't hurt me), but certainly outmatch him with the sum of their parts. Carrot, Angua, Vimes, Nobby, Cheery... they all just rock.
The Last Continent (Discworld) - Another Rincewind book. This one stars Rincewind, which puts it one notch above "Eric", but Eric comes earlier in chronological order. Not that I really care about chronological order, as one can obviously see. Of course, this is the most recent Rincewind-centric book, so I might want to save it for later.
Good Omens (Pratchett, but not Discworld) - Worshipped by many; heralded by our own Ann Larimer as her favourite book. Now advise me! Jingo goes without saying, but I need to choose between Rincewinds (or even to get one with Rincewind) and whether or not to get Good Omens.
