Today's Tally of Costumes I Have Seen:

Ash from Pokemon (indistinguishable from day-to-day clothes)
Some guy with a sombrero
A guy in a sparkly jumpsuit
Two bumpkins
A girl in a princess dress
Wolverine (kind of awesome)
And I loaned my Kaylee costume to Elaine, so she's wearing it somewhere. But I haven't seen her in it, so it doesn't count.

Today's Tally of What People Have Thought My Sally Costume Is:

A Flintstone
Pippy Longstocking
I Have No Idea
Not Jack Skellington, but... [prompts me to fill in name]
Sally, finally!

Hee, I'm reminded of high school senior year when I dressed up as Angua, and a little 4-year-old girl took in my breastplate, my dog collar, my short sword, and my laced up sandals and decided I was a princess. Can I be what that four year old imagines a princess is for the remaining 364 days of the year? Because man, that must rock. :D

Anyway, people that don't dress up for Halloween after age 12 suck. Yes, I'm talking to you, 99.99999999% of society.

And BWEE! Elaine just stopped by to show off her costume and be my sole trick-or-treater of the evening (I have candy! Come by, people that aren't far away!), and we took pictures of each other. Here I am in my Sally costume, and here's Elaine in my Kaylee outfit. La!

"So we get a plan," I said. "Any suggestions?"
"Blow up the building," Kinkaid said without looking up. "That works good for vampires. Then soak what's left in gasoline. Set it on fire. Then blow it all up again."
"For future reference, I was sort of hoping for a suggestion that didn't sound like it came from that Bolshevik Muppet with all the dynamite."
"Check," Kinkaid said.

--Blood Rites, Jim Butcher (6th novel of The Dresden Files)
Can I hire Kinkaid to take care of CollegeBoxes? I just got my claims check today. After all this agony, they stiffed me fifty-five bucks. Oh, CollegeBoxes, there will be hell to pay. Also me to pay. In case that wasn't clear.

Hey, cool! You can use the mousewheel to scroll through Firefox tabs! This will certainly tide me over until TabMixPlus is available for 2.0.

A handy site to keep in mind when you're buying online: RetailMeNot. From the folks that brought us BugMeNot, it's "a collaborative way for internet users to find and share coupon codes for online stores." Shiny.

A contender for the Best Halloween Costume Ever this year: The Stephen Colbert Greenscreen Challenge!

And just in time for Halloween, a lovely Op-Ed piece by Neil Gaiman.

GLEE! Tim Minear's Drive pilot has been picked up to go to series! As Aaron Sorkin's latest baby gets hooked up to life support, another of my favourite TV people gets their infant slapped on the butt, and woah, check out the lungs on that kid! And I know that's a terrible metaphor. Shut up, I'm a computer science student!

CONTAINS HEROES SPOILAHS!
  • Saw Eden's true colors the minute she was introduced. It's nice to be proven right, though there was never any doubt in my mind she wasn't a plant.
  • Can we clone a miniature Hiro so that I can keep one in my pocket, and occasionally tell him he can have a sword? Because OH MY GOSH that was adorable! He can just sit in my car and make lightsaber noises.
  • And Ando's explanation of the Hero's journey: "Heroes don't start at the end! That's how they can make movies about them!" I love them.
  • The mirror scene. Interesting, but I would have liked to see it a little better done. Something like Gollum's conversation with himself in TTT, where it definitely gives the impression that two people are talking, but if you break down the movement, you can see that it's the same "take," and the movements blend in to each other. Or in a much more expensive SFX way, the two seperate "halves" would reflect the other. Like, as one of them is talking, her reflection is that of her other counterpart. It annoyed me that there were tears on regular Nikki's face but not on Mirror!Nikki. And I suppose that's how it works for her, but still. Feh.
  • Bwah! Can we call him "Mr. Kitty"? I hope she's dead, though I seriously doubt she is. (Though it would make room for female muties that's aren't blonde bimboes. Come on, bring on a supergirl I can actually care about!)

OH, NOT ON! Veronica Mars and House are back to being in the same timeslot, 9/8C. And I don't think Gregory House (I'm sorry, I will never get over that dorm's name) is hosting Veronica Mars viewing parties anymore. Booooooo, network programmers! House was fine at 8 EST!

Edit: W00t! Gregory House is (fittingly) holding House parties this year!

And Heroes, bwee! OMG, Nikki and Micah had a smoosh-faced Wonderfalls lion! Oh, Bryan Fuller, so much love!

Last night, I went all the way to York, Pennsylvania, for a Halloween party hosted by a couple I met at the shindig. Also in attendance were the hosts of the shindig itself! A splendid time was had by all!

I forgot to mention that in last Wednesday's Fairy Tales class, we talked about Kathryn Davis' The Girl Who Trod on a Loaf. One of the main characters has a tattoo of an eye, and champions "truth" rather than fact. Therefore, I spent much of the class picturing Stephen Colbert dressed as Count Olaf, and then Count Olaf disguised as Stephen Colbert, possibly because the Baudelaire orphans were going to be interviewed on the show.

To make the experience suitably miserable, perhaps they could be added to the On Notice board. Stephen doesn't trust murderers, especially when one of them has been known to disguise herself as a hairy, half-beast freak creature. She might as well be half-bear. And all those books Klaus reads? We all know how Stephen doesn't trust facts. And Stephen doesn't like the color "violet," because that's what you get when you mix red, white, and blue, and these colors don't run!

Someone needs to write that fanfic. Maybe they could call it "The Repulsive Report," and when I have a life again I could do a photomanip of Count Stephen.

I really, really need sleep.

I told Alicey the other day that I'd plug her entry on the Phoenix Rising Art Gallery, but it slipped my mind. Go check it out! It's open to all fantasy artwork, not just Harry Potter. I submitted two HP pieces and two from my Sandman series, and you should enter, too! You don't have to be an attendee--it's a couple days after my graduation (AAAAAUGH!!!!), so I won't be able to go. But my pretty pictures will!

The deadline for sending in digital files for approval is November 4th, so get cracking!

Okay, the Fortnight From Hell just got a lot less hellish. My Math midterm was rescheduled from the 7th to the 14th, eliminating a significant amount of crunch from that time. This also means I can volunteer on Election Day, huzzah! I hereby remove it from my current list of Things to Stress Over, as will I remove the Hansel and Gretel readings, because they're due nearly a week after anything else on the list. The Fortnight From Hell is now About a Week of Hell.

I think I did well (!!!) on my Physics quiz today, and based on the review session this morning, I'm not really worried about my Computer Science midterm on Monday. Boo to the yeah!

Wow. Clearly, my subconscious is trying to tell me something. I was getting dressed for a 9-freaking-AM review session for Monday's computer science midterm, but without realizing it, instead of normal clothes, I just put on a different pair of pajamas. Silly Cellie, no sleep for at least another week!

I hope The Prestige is still nearby when this Hell Fortnight is over. I've heard good things from various friends online. And how could I resist a movie that is written and directed by the guys who wrote Memento and has Hugh Jackman, David Bowie, Andy Serkis, Scarlett Johanssen, and the words "HARRY DRESDEN -- WIZARD" prominently Easter Egged on the act billing while Christian Bale's character is performing?

Anyway, I finished the first draft of the creative half of my Fairy Tales paper. Sure, my idea started out pretty dark, but I never predicted it would turn into something that might be pitched as "Cinderella stars in Kill Bill." I'm actually quite pleased with it, though I do think there is something deeply wrong with me. :D

My homework load makes baby Jesus cry.

[] Physics quiz tomorrow. I've barely even glanced at the material.
[] CSE Homework 2 due at 5pm on Sunday. Of course, I'll be at Courtney and Ryan's Halloween party Saturday night, which I've been looking forward to for months, and I'm not about to bow out.
[] Math quiz in Monday's recitation, worth 5% of my grade.
[] CSE Midterm on Monday, as well, worth 25% on my grade.
[x] Film research paper topics due Tuesday, October 31st. I think I have mine more or less worked out.
[] Fairy Tales essay due Wednesday, November 1st, worth 30% of my final grade.
[x] Also read a bunch of variations of the fairy tale "Donkeyskin" for Wednesday, November 1st.
[] And read Robin McKinley's Deerskin (375 pages) for the same class.
[] Physics Midterm on Thursday, November 2nd. I am going to die.
[] Math Midterm on Tuesday, November 7th, preventing me from doing any real volunteer work on Election Day. Bah.
[] Read a lot of variations of "Hansel and Gretel," and read Louise Murphy's The True Story of Hansel and Gretel (300 pages) for Wednesday, November 8th.

But you know what makes the Baby Jesus laugh and sing and dance again? Ben & Jerry's "American Pie" on a banana nut waffle. Thank you, Baby Jesus, for the gifts my stomach is about to receive.

Rock on, New Jersey.

While I won't be satisfied until gay marriage is legalized nationwide with all the rights and benefits awarded to same-sex couples, with so much of the nation opposed, I feel like this is the path the country has to take for the time being. With the denial of the "marriage" buzzword, I feel like many of the opponents of same-sex marriage will have less "moral" ground to stand on, and the ruling will be less likely to be overturned. Then like the ending of slavery, the rise of women's suffrage, desegregation, and every other great movement to equalize society, Americans will slowly realize that it's not the end of the world, and the wheel of progress will roll on.

Of course this ruling isn't enough. But it's a big step in the right direction.

Hey, speaking of the Conservative "gay marriage" bogeyman... I've noticed that a lot of publications are actually calling it gay marriage, and I wouldn't put it past the right wingers to try to work their base into a frenzy talking about the gay marriage "threat." I wonder if someone could analyze the ratio of publications that incorrectly refer to it as gay marriage, and compare the conservative-leaning publications/writers with those with a liberal bent.

See this article from the Washington Post.
Annapolis, Md.: Where did you grow up? What were you like in high school? Super cool?

John Hodgman: Brookline, Mass., is the answer. In high school I got very good grades and was well liked by all students and teachers. I was cool if having long hair and wearing a fedora and in general dressing like Dr. Who is cool.

(Hint: it isn't).

I wish someone had given me that hint. But there it is.

That is all.

Washington, D.C.: I believe dressing like Dr. Who is cool, as long as you have the scarf.

John Hodgman: That is not a question, and yet, you are correct. And yes, there was a long scarf involved.

That is all.
Anyone that digs up pictures of Young John Hodgman wins the Internet's firstborn! Is the internet capable of reproducing, you ask? Well, according to Bush, there are multiple "internets," and according to Ted Stevens, the internet has "a series of tubes"... I need to go to sleep.

(Oh! My box of Replacement Stuff for What CollegeBoxes Lost from Bed Bath and Beyond arrived today (er, yesterday)! My new lamp >> the universe.)

WOAH! 179 Photos from Hogfather! I'm really happy with what I'm seeing: Teatime, Bilious, Poker-Wielding Susan, Ponder, Ridcully, Albert... spot-on! Nobby is disappointing, though. Maybe the actor's mannerisms will make up for his appearance. The sets seem to be missing that extra "kick" that fills my fantasy-movie heart with joy (someone described them as "very BBC"), but come on. A DISCWORLD MOVIE. ACTUALLY HAPPENING. I wouldn't complain if was made with sock puppets.

And bonus: You can see the other movie about a skeleton playing Santa Claus TOMORROW! Yes, The Nightmare Before Christmas opens in IMAX-3D in a few short hours.

I'm currently listening to the audio book of The Hostile Hospital, eighth book in A Series of Unfortunate Events.
"Kalm" said Sunny, which meant something like "I can't read very well, but I think this says 'Sequel to Serenity.'"

"You're right, Sunny," said Klaus. "It's the wrong one."
Oh, Lemony Snicket. I know that the way my brain interpreted this exchange isn't at all what you had in mind, but still. That's just mean. XD

After six weeks, CollegeBoxes has given up the search for my boxes, and they're just sending me a check. ARRRRRGH! Kiss that Pterry-autographed Discworld Family Values poster goodbye. I hope he comes through Philly again before I leave. Does anyone know when Making Money is coming out? On the other hand, it's nice to finally get that sense of closure so I can just re-buy all the stuff they lost, and Ko and I won't have to deal with no telephones or pot lids or trash cans or shower curtains or measuring cups/spoons or my laundry hamper or my lampshade or my upright pillow etc etc etc.

Fortunately, most of the stuff is very replacable. It's just a matter of tracking everything down and buying new stuff. I'll stop by the bookstore and Radio Shack tomorrow when it isn't raining, and I'll try to find all the stuff I originally got at Bed Bath and Beyond on their website. What a hassle. The faint silver lining is that I get to pick out new posters! The old list: Serenity, Rent, Star Wars (Darth Vader "Who's Your Daddy?"), Hero, Lord of the Rings: TTT (with Merry and Pippin), Discworld Family Values, The Incredibles, and Moulin Rouge.

My Amelie and Corpse Bride mini-posters survived, as they were put in one of the boxes that made it, and I've already bought the Veronica Mars noir-style poster, and I'm thinking about one of those weird international Serenity posters to replace my dearly departed American one. Oh, eBay, sing to me your sweet siren song!

A Poll:

The Nightmare Before Christmas is the best movie ever.
  • Yes
  • Hell yes
Bwaha, check out Marylin Manson's cover of "This Is Halloween". It's so much fun to see the defining movie of your childhood twisted beyond recognition! I look forward to hearing the other covers on the CD re-release.

Ah, here we go: Sally's Song (Fiona Apple) and What's This (Fall Out Boy). I wasn't able to find She Wants Revenge's version of "Kidnap the Sandy Claws" or Panic! At the Disco's verion of "This is Halloween," but there are snippets here, I'm sure someone will YouTube them when the CD comes out. (Seeing as how I already have the original soundtrack and a couple of the demos, I definitely won't be buying the rerelease. XD)

Um, here! Have "Kidnap the Sandy Claws" in Japanese!

Quote of the Day:

"Rowaarghgently boat ouchgentlydoon boat boat boatiddley boat stream boatlymerrily boatarrgh . . . CRIVENnnnnns!"

--From Wintersmith

It's so weird how many fannish things I've taken in recently reference "Sleeping Beauty." There's "Something Borrowed" and "Wintersmith," and I was tickled that in last week's episode of Heroes, Cheerleader Girl "woke up" from the seemingly dead after a "splinter" was removed from her body, just like in the old, pre-kiss versions of the story.

Well, not "just like." Briar Rose hadn't been autopsied, though she'd certainly been violated, and the "splinter" was in her finger, as opposed to a sapling in her neck, but whatever. The analogy holds. Yes, it does. Shut up.

Ah, my fairy tales class has eaten my brain, but in a good way. :D

Yes, children, Buffy in class! Yesterday we were talking about sound and innovative uses therof. Then Professor Corrigan admitted, "One of my favourite examples is really going to date me... who here is a fan of Buffy?"

I and about five other people raised a hand, but no one took the hint, as we assumed he was going to share said example himself. When he looked about to give up on us, I raised my hand again, and asked "Are you going to talk about Hush or The Body?". (For the non-Buffy fans in my readership, The Body uses only diegetic sound--no music, no VO, etc., just the sound that naturally exists in the scene. Hush is the episode where everyone's voice is taken away by demons. It's all about communication, and it makes very innovative use of silence.)

Professor Corrigan beamed. "Hush, of course! Care to explain?"

I did so, and all was merry.

Then when we were talking about where musicals fit in the whole diegetic/non-diegetic thing, one kid piped up with, "You know, there's a Buffy musical, too." Professor Corrigan said yes, he knew, and he (jokingly?) said was toying with the idea of one day teaching a cinema studies class entirely on Buffy. I'd take it! (Actually, I could probably T.A. it.)

And there was much rejoicing. Even though I'll be long gone if he ever decides to teach it. Ah well. Now go watch the new Torchwood teasers! #1, #2, and #3.

And Renata: Joss was story editor on Roseanne from 1989-1990. The Buffy movie didn't come around until 1992, and the TV show started in 1997. Everyone has to start somewhere. :D

Last night's Colbert Report: What organ must I sell to obtain one of those "Mrs. Colbert" sashes? OH MY GOD that episode was on crack! Beautiful, beautiful crack. Also, Jane Fonda/Stephen Colbert OTP. Except NOT. Can I portmanteau the term "NOTP"? Can "portmanteau" be used as a verb? Probably not. Moving on.

Last night's Veronica Mars: Was it just me, or was the opening credits music a lot less awful than on the season premiere? And hahahaha, silly writers, don't they know that Kristen Bell + marijuana + a reference to being "starcrossed lovers" has already been done? Aww, Logan and Veronica are just like Romeo and Juliet! They're happy, young, and hemmoraging blood! Speaking of which, I need to get another of Renata's delicious brownies. It's yummy. It's the greatest brownie known to man! (Also, for female-related issues, Renata's brownie timing is impeccable. Mmm, chocolate.)

Oh, win! We briefly talked about the Buffy episode "Hush" in my Film class (instigated by the professor, no less!), I rocked my Math midterm, and I came home to HOBO BROWNIES! Mmm, soft and moist and hobolicious! You can hardly taste the hallucinogenic wood alcohol! The icing H in sunrays are gone, just like the hobos themselves, but their spirit lives on in my tummy.

And now I'm going to watch Heroes. Ko and I caved and watched Studio 60 last night.

Bwaha, the Hobo Brownies Renata made for me are featured on John Hodgman's weblog! And speaking of John Hodgman, here are three new Mac ads.

Also, squeeful: We got our first promo for Torchwood, the Doctor Who spinoff starring Captain Jack! It premieres on BBC3 (and BitTorrent) October 22nd.

And everyone with an internet connection probably knows this by now, but Nathan Fillion is going to be on Lost! And he'll be playing something slightly more significant than Fishbiscuit #17. Click to find out who! As if there's anyone that *hasn't* seen this yet. :D

Also, all hope is not dead for a Serenity sequel. Though rather than shelling out $40 million for two hours of movie, I'd rather see a 20-episode season. Wow, here's a timely blog entry from Wil Wheaton that encapsulates how I feel on the subject! Now that's just handy.

Anyway, I'm not watching Heroes and Studio 60 tonight because of my Math midterm tomorrow morning. Please don't post any spoilers in the comments until I post saying that I've seen them, which will most likely be Wednesday night. Danke!

Till the blue skies

BWEE! Renata baked me Hobo Brownies! SO MUCH LOVE!

And speaking of H-in-sunrays, I've uploaded a few pictures from the Hodgman/Coulton/Rees/Sedaris event!

John periodically interrupts Jonathan as he tries to sing about him and his book.
Jonathan is allowed to sing!
John chalks the infamous "H in Sunrays" on the front of the podium
and explains its significance
Jonathan sings "The Big Rock Candy Mountain", a traditional hobo ballad
David Rees displays a cartoon which reminds me of Renata's comic sensibilities
The cartoon is ANIMATED! Bask in the fearsome technology of the OVERHEAD PROJECTOR!
John inadvertently feels Amy Sedaris up while checking on her microphone pack
Bad Touch!
The Interview
Margaret Bridget Morgan prepares Amy's traditional Cheese Ball recipe (which is delicious). When Amy first introduced her, she accidentally called her by the wrong name, and subsequently did so deliberately throughout the rest of the evening. I'm pretty sure Morgan was her real name.
Jonathan Coulton, David Rees, and MOI!
Me with John Hodgman. I have yet to be in a photo with a Famous Person and not look like I'm about to eat a baby.

The word of the day is BWEE. Close runner up, however, is "Hobo." Today I met not only John Hodgman, and not only Jonathan Coulton, but also David Rees and Amy Sedaris.

I arrived at about 6:20 and was horrified to see a huge line of people out the door and partway down the block. However, once we filed in to the actual auditorum, I was able to snag a wing seat in the third row, which others must have assumed was reserved. I couldn't have had a better view! If I had a long stick, I could have touched them. It was also an optimum seat for surreptitious recording of audio. Unfortunately, my batteries started dying almost immediately, so I wasn't able to get any of David or Amy's presentations. Tomorrow, I'll post the audio I managed to record, along with pictures.

John Hodgman served as the Master of Ceremonies of sorts. He and Jonathan Coulton took the stage first, regaling the audience with tales of hobos and songs of candy mountains. They make an excellent performing duo, and there were times I thought the ancient auditorium seats would break under the strain of our violent laughter.

Then John introduced David Rees, who supplied is with a keen insight into the Alphabet Song and showed us some highly amusing cartoons. Then John interviewed Amy, which was hilarious on John's part and kind of disappointing on Amy's. We learned many tips on how to hostess and how to properly don pantyhose so they don't snag. We also learned that John Hodgman's wife does not have talons, nor is she a gryphon. Then a lackey made Amy's cheeseball recipe while they answered questions from the audience. All in all, a lovely evening.

Afterwards, after waiting in the insanely long line for autographs, I got to chat with the guys, who were great. The three were fascinated by Das Book when I asked them to sign it, especially Jonathan Coulton. We had a rather long conversation, as far as autograph lines go. See all the autographs! Alas, Amy violated Jonathan's instruction to not write below a given line. The drama that must have ensued!

You can also see my scrawled intentions to ask him about who might win in a fight between Lincoln, Wilson, and a pack of Mole Men. Instead, I asked him about his daughter, known only as "Hodgmina," who I learned has advanced significantly since the publication of Areas of My Expertise, as children are wont to do. I imagine that like her mother, she has no talons or other gryphon-like properties, but Mr. Hodgman did not broach the subject. He did however compliment my "Ask Me How I Became a Pirate" shirt. He asked if I had a hobo shirt, and when I said I didn't, he instructed me to get one at my earliest convenience. I'm tempted to paint the H in sunrays on the front of a hoodie.

And now I'm exhausted and going to bed. La!

After studying Physics for a couple hours last night and pretty much all day today, If I have to think about Physics for one more second, I will scream. Can we just skip the exam and go straight to the John Hodgman?

Amazon is being slow and stupid about my copy of My Big Fat Supernatural Wedding, so I stopped by the campus bookstore after Physics to read Jim's story. Mild spoilers follow.

There was some cheese, and at times it felt a bit ficcish (you can tell he's used to novel-length writing rather than short stories), but it was still a delight. Though with all the shameless Harry/Murphy, I was annoyed when I remembered that the story takes place *before* they have "the talk" in Proven Guilty. Ah well. My ship will out!

Anyway, three cheers for werewolf geeks in love! *raises glass of Orange Mango Nantucket Nectars to Billy and Georgia*

Nitpicky criticism: I refuse to believe it's possible Murphy and Bob had never met before. And while I usually adore Bob, he was a bit of a one-trick pony in this story, and his comments got old fast. Also, in a totally pathetic, why can't I be this observant in critical reading for homework kind of way, I was under the impression that Murphy's hair was too short to put in a ponytail. But then I'm basing her appearance on a line from a book that happens 5-6 years previous, so I'll shut up now.

Verdict: Butcher fans in need of a Dresden fix will do a dance of joy. People that have never picked up a Dresden book will wonder what all the fuss is about, because it totally lacks the sense of worldbuilding that makes me love the series so much. Solution? Everyone, go read the series!

And now? Cramming for the Physics midterm. Boooo, hiss!

The Computer Graphics project was due at midnight. It isn't quite done, but it's submitted. I accomplished more than I thought I would, though, which is impressive! I'll have to hit up the TAs for help in the next few days.

Major thanks to Will for help with troubleshooting!

Studio 60, what kinda crack you smoking? In the Commedia dell'arte, Pantaleone was the old miserly character: deep-voiced and flatulent, hunchbacked, rude, and bossy. That girl was totally not doing Pantaleone.

There is something deeply wrong with me that I know this. But even though his grasp of the Commedia sucks, Aaron Sorkin is still awesome. Studio 60 love!

Heroes was great, and I love Hiro to bits. Also, that girl Mohinder is with is totally a plant.

PhauxCon was FABULOUS. I love these women! Sleep calls to me now, but expect a big entry in the next few days.

In the meantime, highlights include:
  • Denny kicking butt and taking names
  • Sadbhyl totally blowing my mind as far as The Dresden Files is concerned. Can I borrow a time-turner and/or TARDIS so I can reread the entire series without dipping into the time needed for homework?
  • The most gentle crashing and burning of my panel anyone could imagine.
  • Me trying Bailey's Irish Creme and liking it, marking the first time I've ever not detested the taste of alcohol.
  • Hearing about the totally awesome projects my fellow attendees are planning. And I sincerely hope Xi wasn't joking about the "bunch of sex" PhauxCon ficathon. Dude, I can't write fic and I've never had sex, and I still want to participate.
  • A Dutch bakery!

Gah. For my panel-thing at PhauxCon, I'm talking about Jim Butcher's books. Because I've had so much work to do lately, I wasn't able to start writing until this evening, where I wrote up some basic stuff about the Dresden Files characters as a starting point. Then I went to dinner with a bunch of the attendees, and they've all read (at least) the first book. They know who all the characters are and they have a sense of the style of worldbuilding.

Now I get to figure out what I'm going to talk about for thirty minutes at 1AM the night before. This is *so* going to be a discussion. XD
