You are a human hair wig. You are porous. BLEACH LIKE YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO.

The strongest bleach at the store has been on the wig for over four hours when it's only supposed to take like 45 minutes to get a dramatic change, and AAAARG why didn't I buy the blond wig even though I didn't like the cut, because at least then I know I could have dyed it properly and I'd end up with the appropriately Molly-esque cotton candy pink and blue colors instead of the mud I'm probably going to end up with now?

At least the weird bleach stains on my forearms where the gloves ended seem to have gone away.

Did you buy a bleach kit or bleach powder and developer seperately? Do you know what volume the developer is? 40v is the highest they'll sell to non-professionals. Is the bleach dry on the wig? If it is, then it's not gonna work right. Also, bleach isn't the greatest thing to leave on human hair for a long time cos it'll damage the hair hardcore. Most people recommend waiting some time between bleach sessions. If you do chose to rebleach, wrap the hair in saran wrap and use a hair drier on it. Warm bleach works better than room temperature bleach.

Be careful if you've damaged the hair too much, the dye won't take to it. A protein treatment might help, but only one because too many will dry out the hair even more. Deep conditioning is also recommended for damaged hair.
