The Cult of Lincoln

Oh my god. I feel tetchy and aggravated and tired and I swear I'm going to bite the head off the next person that adds another task to my staggering To-Do list. I need to buy groceries and I need to do laundry and I need to freaking SLEEP IN for once. And I need to go back to the frame store and get those stupid two millimeters of foam core chopped off the bottom so I can freaking hang my posters already. And I want to be well-rested enough so that I don't sound like a zombie when I try to record the next episode of the podcast, which is already a week late and getting later every day. And I want to be in a frame of mind in which getting home on a Friday night in time to see the Battlestar Galactica finale at 10 does not feel like a crowning achievement. And I want to have time to go to a MOVIE for once, as I still need to see Prince Caspian and I'm curious about Hulk, and wasn't Lee Pace in some really trippy-looking movie that seemed kind of interesting?

And I want to take a personal day but I can't, because everyone is as crazy and put-upon as I am, and ARGH.

Um. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

::hugs:: Oh man, I'm so sorry your life sucks so much right now! As soon as it calms down, I need to buy you a drink in congratulations, dude.

Yup, the Lee Pace film is "The Fall" and I don't know if it's that great, but the visuals looked pretty glorious, and after all, it's Lee Pace! I have not yet had the time to see it either, but still on my list to see.

Hang in there. Keep your chin up, and just enjoy life and work, since you have no other choice. All of these things will get done. Just keep counting your money...and I guess celebrate the experience you are gaining in the process. Remember how late you used to have to stay up in college? That was to prepare you for the real world...M

Angel:
Please know that because of you and your sister, your father is the happiest and luckiest dude in the whole world. Hang in there; you are greatly loved and deeply admired.

:( dude, that sucks. i´m sorry everything is so crazy for you. is there any end in sight to the craziness at work? it sounds like they need to hire another person or two around there...

Focus on the light at the end of the tunnel. And remind yourself that the tunnel is paved with sweet, sweet dollars.

Put salt on any heads before you bite them off. If they're slugs, you'll have an easier time of it.

poor boo. I keep telling you to go for the whole doppelganger thing. That way, you would have a fabulous alternate life.
